Medication Management Plans

We can help treat the following:

Asthma: We may tailor a plan for you that involves short acting bronchodilators (Albuterol, levalbuterol), as well as long-acting medications (Symbicort, Breo, Dulera, Advair, Wixela etc).

We also have the ability of giving advanced biologics for harder to treat asthma, such as Xolair, Fasenra, Nucala, or Dupixent. All these treatments could be given at some time as allergy shots or allergy drops.

Eczema: On top of the immunotherapy process and removing possible triggers, we may add steroid cream, anti-inflammatory creams, vitamin regimes, and possible biologics approved for eczema such as Dupixent.

Allergic Rhinitis/Sinusitis: For sinus issues, we may place you on nasal spray regimes, nasal washes, and we also have access to biologics such as Xolair or Dupixent.

Hives/Uritcaria: Sometimes hives becomes difficult to control with antihistamines alone, for which we are able to add on Xolair, or other advanced medications as needed.

Understanding Certain Advanced Biologics

These medications are usually safe, more powerful options for advanced allergic disease. They are normally only provided and overseen by a specialist.

We are proud to offer the below options as needed for advanced allergic conditions:

What Is Fasenra (benralizumab)?

Fasenra is an Anti-IL5 that targets a specific cell that may worsen asthma. It is approved for severe asthma. Severe asthma is asthma that requires steroid injections or pills more than twice a year, asthma that wakes you up from sleep, or asthma where you feel short of breath or wheezy on most days.

What is Xolair (Omalizumab)?

Xolair is an Anti-IgE, and it target the antibodies that may cause several allergy issues. It is approved for severe allergic asthma and chronic urticaria (hives). It will likely be approved in the future for nasal polyps, as well as a treatment aid in food allergies.

What Is Dupixent (dupilumab)?

Dupixent targets a signaling pathway that may cause allergy issues. Dupixent is approved for severe asthma, nasal polyps, and moderate to severe eczema. It may be approved in the future for allergic gastrointestinal issues such as eosinophilic esophagitis.

What Is Nucala (mepolizumab)?

Nucala is used for severe asthma.
